Expertly crafted from sustainable spalted wood, this bowl is a one-of-a-kind creation that showcases the mesmerizing patterns that occur naturally in spalted maple.

Finished with tung oil and/or beeswax. Handmade and completely unique, one of a numbered and limited series. Comes with a certificate of authenticity issues by the supplier with craftsman's signature.

Spalting refers to the vivid abstract pattern of the natural wood grain. Spalting derives from the very beginning of natural processes that, over many years, return a fallen tree to the soil. Spalted wood is prized by artists, woodworkers, and collectors for it's distinctive beauty. And because spalted wood is often found in tress that have fallen for natural causes, when harvested responsibly it is a sustainable and planet-friendly source of decorative wood.
